The Centres also foster linkages among researchers, the public health community and other actors and promote the sharing of knowledge across this network to enhance public health practice across Canada.
Sanofi Pasteur is Canada’s largest vaccine company with a proud heritage and commitment to public health. They provide vaccines to Canadians for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, common illnesses and cancers. Sanofi Pasteur is the vaccines business of the sanofi-aventis Group, the third largest pharmaceutical company in the world.
The Department of Education, Culture, and Employment of the Government of the Northwest Territories is responsible for childhood and adult education, career and employment development, and culture and heritage in Northwest Territories, Canada.

The IPY Federal Program Office has been established at Indian and Northern Affairs Canada in Ottawa (previously referred to as the Canadian IPY Program Office – Federal Secretariat). It is responsible for the administration and coordination of the Government of Canada Program for IPY, on behalf of the six co-lead federal departments (Indian and Northern Affairs, Environment, Fisheries and Oceans, Health, Industry, and Natural Resources).
The city of Yellowknife services the almost 20,000 residents of this northern town located on the north shore of Great Slave Lake. First settled in 1935, Yellowknife became the capital of the Northwest Territories in 1967 and has experienced steady growth since.

CDC’s Arctic Investigations Program’s mission is prevention of infectious diseases in peoples of the Arctic and Subarctic with special emphasis on diseases of high incidence and concern among Alaska Natives and American Indians. We accomplish this with the help of our Partners in Research.
ARDICOM Digital Communications Inc. is a joint venture of northern companies formed to provide the advantages of digital communications to the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and parts of the Yukon. ARDICOM’s shareholders are ACL (Arctic Cooperatives Ltd.), NASCo (Northern Aboriginal Services Company) and the northern telecommunications provider, Northwestel Inc.
Northwestel is the primary telecommunications provider of the North, offering internet, data, telephone, television, wireless, and additional communications solutions through many communities in the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut, northern British Columbia, and northern Alberta.
